We have had a few good hurricane parties. Honestly, most people are just
overjoyed that their property did not flood or blow away. The neighbors
get together, even neighbors you have not met, yet. Nobody has
electricity, so you begin eating the most valuable foods first, like
steak, shrimp, and of course, you have to eat the ice cream before it
melts. :-) It is just a big party. Most people can not work, because
they do not have power there, either. We play cards, dominoes, mix a few
drinks, enjoy spending time with your friends and neighbors, it is fun,
because you make it fun. What else can you do.
