Default Have you ever invented a new dish?

Well, I can't blame my wife. They all know how well she cooks.
Basically, to cover for me, she quickly whips up something. Quite
amazing at doing that, really she is. Put her in front of a wok and it
is quite amazing the things she comes up with. I gather she learnt most
of her skills from her grandmother before she even reached her teens. I
suspect the guests only come because they know my fare rarely makes it
to the table.

But then, most people know how well I "don't" cook. ;-)

I have managed to cook reasonable steaks, lamb chops and snags as long
as it's a barbeque.

My wife is insisting I learn to cook a broader range of items... she is
suggesting cookery classes....
