Hmm-- I get a little thing of lemon pepper every couple of years,
then go back to zest and fresh ground. Garlic salt, however, is a
staple for me. I get it by the big container [8 oz?].
Back tot he OP-- I suppose putting it on watermelon might be the least
usual usage. Otherwise- I just overindulge.
Pork chops, the way mom made 'em-- Thick cut- lots of fat-Garlic
salt enough to leave a crust-rest 20 minutes or so, then broil.
There was a time when I would pour the garlicy/salty/fat off onto some
rice, but I prefer other sins these days.
I've never been able to match the feel/taste of garlic salt with
garlic & salt or garlic powder and salt.
