If you can, try not to dread it so much. Try to see it as a coming
relief and new beginnings and look forward to it instead of fearing
it. Dread and fear actually retards healing. It actually changes
your body chemistry. If you can lose the fear and gain anticipation,
your recovery will be faster and you will be healthier. Use the
technique of visualization. Visualize how simple and easy the
procedure will be, see how fast you will be on your feet and feeling
good. Try to actually FEEL the strength and flexibility of your
limbs and the strength of your muscles. See yourself in perfect
health and form. Do a little meditation/visualization session as
often as you can. The medical community has found that this really
does produce great results. So try it, and remember that We are all
here supporting you.
