Not all of us have given up. I still order espresso or coffee after a
meal. I just don't expect it to be good. Last night I was in a
restaurant and they told me before ordering that if I didn't like the
espresso, I wouldn't have to pay for it. I ordered it and it wasn't
bad(!) -even coated with a thick layer of crema. This isn't that
unusual. A truly great espresso though, is very rare and always
appreciated.
