NY road kill has gone to public 'homes' of various descriptions for as
long as I can remember. I must say, though- that's the first I've
seen that hunters could donate game.
It seems like a bad idea for all the reasons Steve says- not to
mention the old saw that says 'you hunt what you [and your family] can
eat'.
But-- NY's deer herd needs some serious thinning and if deer
harvesters can feed the hungry, it works for me.
