When this came up a few months ago I was thinking that it was those
pesky Chinese again--- but I read that most of the arsenic is USA
grown rice on old tobacco fields- where arsenic was used and remains
in the soil. rice is a very efficient 'cleaner'- so at some point
those fields won't be giving us arsenic -laced rice.

So if we live long enough, we're all set. [or maybe we should only
let old people eat domestic rice for a while. . ]
