This is correct, what he should have been using is an automatic rice
pot. I made chicken curry rice in my rice cooker last night and it was
ridiculously easy and tasty. The last few minutes, I added a layer of
broccoli on top of the rice to cook.

So happy you like your rice cooker! Rice with vegetables is easy enough to
cook without a special electric cooker. I do it all the time using a pot on
the stove
