Why? The dishes he named are perfect for a crockpot. I make fantastic
pork, sauerkraut and potatoes, or split pea soup with ham or beef barley
soup as an example and they all come out well
Now if the recipe went something like "add an envelope of onion soup
mix" I would agree with you.
