I'm happy with my Clean/Dirty magnet; bought about 20 years ago for a couple
of bucks. No batteries, no electronics to fail. Iit does require a
little bit of maintenance - a periodic wipe with a damp cloth to remove any
accumulated dust.

I remember those magnets! And yes, they are low maintenance

I wish I
knew what happened to the ones I had. They got lost in a move somewhere.
Never bothered to replace them.
