I don't believe the kidneys would be in the pelvis. Sometimes I remove a
yellow gland, 1/4 inch long and kidney-shaped, from the middle of the spine
where a kidney should be.

I would have to force myself to eat them. They sour the flavor of the dark
meat even if I don't eat them. Maybe adding them to chopped liver makes
sense.
