If you had enough money you could rent the top floor of a small
apartment building, maybe 4 apartments on each floor, use only one for
yourself while leaving the others empty, even at extra cost, so as to
attain quietude from all sides. If after a year you feel like moving,
just drag the stuff to one of the empties on your floor. It's like
putting money in a jukebox and pressing "Silent" to get x amount of
quiet time instead of another set of songs. Renting is great if you
get the right place. We're all renting anyway when all is said and
done.
