I agree. Most of us have figured those things out by now. Either that
or we would have after a case of food poisoning.

I don't drink soda pop but I remember my mother used to order Green Spot
bottled orange soda and occasionaly Nehi Grape when we lived in Bangkok.
It beat drinking water from a huge filtered crock to which my dad
added a few (very few) drops of Clorox to kill the nasties. (The maids
thought my parents were crazy but they were used to drinking the water.)
That's the only time in my life we ever drank soda pop. Eventually
they got one of those coolers like you see in some offices with the big
jugs of water. Yay! No more clorox water!

I never did acquire a taste for soda pop. I'll have an occasional glass
of ginger ale but that's only a couple of times a year.
