You might get around this by adding a lot more non starchy veggies and only
a small amount of beans. I have done this too.

This, I don't know. I was given the suggestion here when my last batch of
bean soup didn't have blended flavors. And it worked.

I prefer the fresh but they are usually too expensive. I will be getting
some this week though. Albertsons has them on sale and also limes for a
good price. I don't mind the bottled in stuff like this.
