I put lemon juice in split pea soup today because the recipe said to
do it. When it was fully cooked, I didn't taste any lemon. Frankly,
I don't know why it's in the recipe. I've never used lemon before and
didn't think it added or subtracted anything, so don't sweat it if you
don't have lemon on hand to use.
