If the ordinary citizen is a gun lobbyist, it's to ensure maximum
profits for gun manufacturers. If the ordinary citizen is someone whose
brain is addled by NRA's dark fantasy: When the US government turns
into a tyrannical dictatorship and they begin disarming citizens, the
owners of such weapons want to be able to kill as many police, National
Guard, and military as possible and thus save the country.
