So it's not only in Italy! I hated it when they removed the intermission,
it's the main reason why I stopped going to movie theaters for 10-12 years.
The only exception, and the reason why I resumed going to the movies, is a
cinema 10 miles from here whose property also owns the nearby bar: they DO
have the intermission, a good 15 minutes to spend at the bar snacking and
drinking
