Sounds like you don't lock the door between your garage and your
house. I need my keys to stay out because the door from the garage to
my basement is locked as is the door from the stairwell into the main
part of the house. My keys rarely go missing though because I'm
pretty good about putting them away after that. When we had multiple
cars, I had a key rack next to the upstairs door so they'd go there as
soon as I got home. The television remote is another story. Hubby
and I have different preferred spots for it and god only knows what
happens to it when kids (of all ages) come over.
