I had a Shiner Bock a few weeks ago and it didn't really strike me as
a bock at all. It was more like a really uninteresting dark beer. Bock
is supposed to be heavy and rich and malty and this stuff was none of
the above. It wasn't terrible, but they probably shouldn't be calling
it bock, either.
