I've discovered, to my dismay, that most of their stuff is pretty terrible
IMO - and I've sampled a lot of it. I recently tried some of their fresh
beef which I am still wondering what those cows were fed - yech. And then
the chicken breasts which were so tough and fibrous I got a sore jaw chewing
them. I splurged and tried some of their frozen sea scallops, which upon
thawing proved to be easily 50% extra water by weight. I've tried their
line of Gyoza which tasted like they were stuffed with sawdust.

I truly regret the demise of TJs. It was at one time a cool place to shop
and always full of interesting things at pretty fabulous prices. Now the
shopping experience there is more of a trial by fire than a pleasure. I am
constantly having to dodge employees who seem hell bent on running shoppers
down with pallets of restock. The shop near me has degraded to something
more akin to a third world bazaar than a grocery store.

I buy only pizza dough, cheese and alcohol at my local TJs now. Sometimes
coffee, though I can get better elsewhere for less, sometimes the juices
which at least offer some variety.
