I got one a couple weeks back. It's a GE Profile and it's smarter
than I am. Heluva stove. Very nice gas burners on top and an electric
convection oven below. The oven has digital controls so you can set
it to any baking temperature. It beeps when the temp is reached.
One odd thing is that it has seperate buttons for convection baking
and convection roasting. I've read the manual and it seems the two
terms refer to making breads and cakes (baking) and cooking meats
(roasting). However, I can't find what the difference is in terms of
the oven's behavior.
Dams (Hey, lady!) is right about price. Mine came in at $1500 before
the rebate. I've never bought an appliance that cost that much.
Hell, it was years before I had a CAR that cost that much.
