I adopt a different approach. I use turbinado sugar, which doesn't cake
and, if I think more taste is needed, I replace it one to one with dark
molasses. Turbinado sugar is also good if you like sweetened coffee but
I only sweeten the instant coffee that I drink in dire emergencies.
