This house was built in the 30's and it has no dishwasher. I would lose
cabinet space if we installed one, so I would rather live without it - I
need the space. I have always had a dishwasher, before now.

This house is small, about 1350 sq ft, the smallest house I've ever had,
but it works out surprisingly well, and I do not mind washing dishes. My
secondborn thinks I am crazy, a dishwasher is on the top of his list.
