I had a revelation some years ago after being out in the cook of April
with a strong sun and found my hair is not as thick as it once was.
Hats are protection from sun and keep the dome warm.

Personally, if find that baldness is kind of nice. Easy to maintain,
never gets mussed in the wind, no time to comb and style it. Nor do I
see any reason to hide it. Life happens and my wife still loves me
sans hair.
