It's not cream and, as far as I know, it never was - cream is not stable
enough to have a shelf-life of months. The filling is a whipped
frosting. Frosting as we all know, is shortening and sugar.

OTOH, Dream Whip frosting is probably oil and sugar and emulsifiers and
stabilizers. I like it more than regular frosting because it has more
air in it. It might be great in a Twinkie but again, it's lacks
shelf-life stability.
