I know people say that tomatoes lose their flavor when refrigerated.
However, is this loss supposed to be permanent or will the taste come
back when the tomatoes warm up?

By the way, you can (despite Chiquita Banana) keep bananas in the
refrigerator. The skins may darken but that does not affect the taste.
