They don't draw them, they come with ready to hatch fruit
flies. Wash them when you get them home.
Of course, there will be some other reason you don't want
bananas which is fine.

It does something to the enzymes and it's not reversible.

I might start doing that when my bananas reach ripeness, otherwise
many of them wind up in the freezer for smoothies. That's great
but sometimes I just want to eat a banana.
