Exactly. I'm surprised no one else either grows their own tomatoes or
hasn't noticed the difference refrigeration makes.
I should start a thread on eggs. They aren't refrigerated in
England. They taste better if they are warm when cooked. (The
natural protection of the eggs keeps them from spoiling. In the US,
eggs are washed which removes the egg's natural protection and hence
they have to be refrigerated.) Let's not mention wooden cutting
boards.
