Bulk foods are the worst for cross contamination. You don't know what was
in that bin prior or if they have a scoop, whether or not someone used a
different scoop in that bin. Plus the nuts and seeds are often not fresh.

Sadly, my little health food store closed. They had the freshest nuts.
They bought in bulk and bagged them themselves. I especially loved their
sprouted walnuts. AFAIK I have not had any issues with nuts that said they
were processed on the same equipment with other nuts. But I did have
problems with some that said they were processed on lines with egg and
dairy.
