husband always checks them before he leaves for work. She had some stickers
in her fur, is missing fur on part of her face and a bad looking injury on

that this is a case for an emergency vet as the tail wound isn't fresh. She
seems very happy to be home! Sadly I suspect that Bali is dead. Although
neither cat is a real fighter...they did fight some but as in perhaps
learning and not to do damage... Jazzy is strong and powerful and was very
overprotective of her daughter. I just can't see Bali fighting very hard
and I suspect she is up there with Maui now. But happy to get one cat
back!

Great! I hope you will also find Bali, but I'm glad you do have one of
them. I would like to recommend, again, that you call and *keep calling*
any animal shelters in your area. It isn't enough to check once. I have
had friends who failed to check and learned later that their pets were
eventually turned in to the animal shelter. In some cases, the news was
good; but there were also cases where the cat or dog was put to sleep
because it had been at the shelter past the time for it to be held. An
owner could find that their pet was not at the shelter--but it could be
turned in a month later. Even if you leave a description and a request for
staff to call you, they are often so busy that the call does not get made
(probably because no one recognized the "stray" from the owner's
description).
