I went to the farm stand today on St. Helena. I got three nice yellow
squash and two nice zucchini. I also selected 10 small red "new"
potatoes. All for the whopping price of $4.50. Can't do that at Publix!

It's funny Janet mentioned my squash casserole recently. While I was
picking out yellow squash a woman (who looked older than I am) asked,
"What do you do with yellow squash? All I know to do is make squash
casserole." I told her I make that, too. But mostly I just slice and
steam it. This time I'm planning to stir fry some of it with chicken.
She thanked me.

They had sweet potatoes and small white potatoes, too. Green beans and
sweet corn. (I miss corn!) They also had some nice looking red and
green bell peppers. I don't buy them unless I need them for a specific
dish. But they sure were pretty!
