I use really cheap Canadian stuff for Whiskey Sours and for shots.
Rotgut Canadian is a lot smoother than rotgut American and just as
cheap, and the Canadian has a little rye in it which I think is a bonus.

Wild Turkey is for sipping -- I have tried more expensive whiskey, but
still like WT the best.

I don't think I've ever had a Manhattan.
