My friend and I were talking about this. Both of our moms served us this
stuff. She is somewhat older than me and she said in her childhood it was
one of the few prepared things you could buy. Her mom worked so she could
have it at home and she or her older brother could stick it in the oven for
a couple of hours and when her mom got home, she had just enough time to
make the sides.

My mom seemed to like it because there was light and dark meat. She also
seemed to love those packages of brown and serve rolls with both the white
and wheat ones. But I think she might have been the only one who was
enamored with them.
