After the proposed food delivery program by Piggly Wiggly I signed up to
get their weekly sales promotion. Just to see what they consisder good
sales. The store is out of my way from shopping for anything. I won't
drive out of my way unless they have something spectacular on sale.
Sure doesn't sound like it to me!

I can't think of the last time I saw "cubed steak" at Publix. The Pig
has it for $2.48/lb. It seems to go on sale every couple of weeks. But
you have to buy the "family pack" and have a "Pig Card" to get the sale
price. And it doesn't seem like much of a sale price to me.

Cubed steak does make a pretty good country fried steak, but I can pound
some round steak myself with a meat mallet and don't have to buy 12 of
them. Ditto the "split boneless chicken breast", 98cents/lb, but again,
you have to buy the family pack. I don't eat enough chicken breasts to
bother.

Another item in online sales flyer: buy 6 gallons of milk, get the 7th
free. Who the hell buys six, much less 7 gallons of milk?! I like to
drink milk But not that much!
