Thanks everyone, for your wonderful ideas! Though some of you give my
friends far too much credit on the "sophistication" scale. Well, they'll
drink whatever you put down in front of them but would be just as happy with
a beer as with port, cordials, champagne, etc. Though it'd have to be a good
beer, of course.

I don't know why I didn't think of coffee--duh. We've got a great local
roaster (they hand-deliver your coffee beans hours after they're roasted) so
I'll make up some hot and iced coffee and provide some Bailey's and such for
those who want an extra kick (though I myself would be more likely to put
that stuff on ice cream than in coffee).
