I joined at the behest of Mike for the uk food group. After a few months of
"friending" as FB raids one's e-mail address book, I got fed up with the
barrage of requests, and other trivia. Also, it seemed that every time
someone farted, they updated their page and that led to another round of FB
e-mails. I really don't see the point of it.
Linked-In is similar.
