Many many years ago we took a family trip to Cape Cod, and one day we
drove up toward Provincetown for whale watching. The fog was so thick
that day they canceled the boat trip and the fog didn't lift until well
into late afternoon. I'd never seen anything like that before. We
stopped at one of the national park beaches, one where you have to walk
down a million steps to get to the sand, and from up there the ocean and
beach were completely obscured.
