Huh. I have a package of those. My mother bought them. Probably also
10 years old. I never bothered reading the instructions.

I just looked. It says "to proteect against bursting". Huh. Since
you're also supposed to cut slits in the top of the bag I'm not sure
what would cause it to burst.
