They are fine although our elder female has developed a
hyperthyroid condition. The medication she gets twice a day seems
to be bringing it under control.

We now have two dogs, legacies of my step-daughter who has moved to
California with her husband and two children. She would have taken
the golden retriever except that landlords there can apparently
demand that you sign leases with a pet-free clause. If they ever
find appropriate accomodation, they will send for her.
