Particularly if it was white. One of my friends who is now a diabetic had a
stent put in. Actually I think it was more than one. She always ate well.
Her husband manages a grocery store and she herself works at a store with a
grocery department. She eats tons of salad and other good, wholesome foods
but her downfall was Pepsi. Regular Pepsi. She would easily drink 6, 2
liter bottles a day. Why she was not any larger than she was, is beyond me.
Not thin, but not obese either. Just a little overweight. We always told
her that Pepsi would come back to haunt her. That's what excess carbs can
do. Particularly of the refined nature.

Weaning herself from the Pepsi was hard for her to do but necessary for the
diabetes.
