Make your own peanut butter. I don't know if that's a "treat" but,
considering the way some folks can't keep the stuff in the house for
fear of eating it in too-large amounts, I think it might qualify.
In our house, we like roasted, unsalted nuts as a topping on salads.
Usually it's pine nuts, sometimes walnuts, sometimes almonds; I'd try
peanuts, perhaps making the pieces a bit smaller in a food processor
first, though.
Sate would be another fine use. It's a Far Eastern peanut-based sauce,
usually spicy and sweet in my experience, often served as a dipping
sauce for grilled meats but I'm sure there are a thousand other ways to
use it as well. I usually think of it as Thai but I've had it in
Chinese and Vietnamese cooking also.
