Friends of mine who have retired told me that it takes about 18 months to
adjust to the new lifestyle.
One of them did a lot of volunteering (Habitat For Humanity, Food Bank etc)
before doing all the finishing work on a new house on the coast and moving
there.
The thought of retiring horrifies me but I do consider it from time to
time - especially today as another client wants me to take out $5 million
C&G insurance!
