Liquor laws must be different there. Licensed bars here cannot sell
alcohol to go. I wonder what sort of cheap wine they offer there that it
cannot be cellared until the next season.


Those soup prices remind me of an experience I had the last time I went
to a local winery restaurant. I had sticker shock at the prices. Bear
in mind this was probably at least 10 years ago...... $14.95 for a bowl
of vegetable soup. What the hell could go into vegetable soup that would
make it worth $14.95 a bowl?
