Unlike certain people here who think the earth revolves around them,
I don't expect someone who lives half way around the world and hasn't
checked in here for months to remember a detail like that. I figured
you were doing well enough to remember I lived on the West Coast.
Yes, coastal California is very expensive, even in rural areas.
Everybody wants to live on or near the coast and they can afford it:
first homes, second homes and vacation properties, Open space:
viticulture, lumber and even some real pasture land is protected by
the state or else the entire California coast would have been wall to
wall housing developments as of 30-40 years ago.
