Coastal towns are more expensive here [South Africa] too for most food
stuffs - and property, because the climate is temperate year round. Only
thing I can think of that's slightly cheaper here on the coast is petrol
(gasoline) - because (most of) it arrives via those huge tankers...
Anyway, seems clear to me you enjoy living where you do - more power to
you!
