I've owned (and read) The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy since
I was a teenager. Julie is about my age so I find it hard to believe
she's never heard of a Hobbit.

I never did think the movies (there were many attempts over the years)
did justice to the books. But then I feel that way about most books
that are made into movies.
