The strawberries are a more fragile fruit, and are not preserved like Mr.
Kuthe's cherries are, first by the addition of ethanol, but also by
being bathed in sugar concentrate. I've eaten one of his cherries after
several months, and it was fine. The CC strawberries degrade very quickly.
