Some things, certainly - for example when we cook fish wrapped in
aluminium foil on the outdoor grill, or as you say when my daughter bakes
cookies or cupcakes - but plain baked/boiled potatoes or green beans don't
give off much of a smell once done (at least not that I've noticed). But
then you probably have a better sense of smell than I do...
