What horsecrap. I've been eating Americanized Chinese food for 60
yrs. Never once eaten Chop Suey with an egg within miles of the
dish. Author must be thinking of Egg Foo Young.

The rest of the article is hogwash, too. Chin/Amer food was not made
as revenge on round-eyes, but to make being a Chinese restaurateur
easier/quicker/cheaper. Yeah, the fortune cookie was a gimmick, but
probably invented by a Nip. Besides, who gives a rat's ass. The
pizza was most likely invented by Persians.
