Unions fought long and hard for better working conditions. The six day
and finally the five day work week was a big part of what they did so
we'd nearly all have the common days off. Wage laws address overtime and
often require extra pay for Sunday work. A few people like working
Sunday to get the higher wage.

Along the same line, the Black Friday opening that have been moving up
more and more are now getting backlash for stealing the holiday.
